How does it work?

As part of our Christmas ‘Buy a gift for a refugee child’ scheme we aim to give out hats and soft toys to Syrian children. It was our joy to give out hats and blankets last winter to protect the children from the harsh weather. Many children here live in derelict buildings and even tents without the necessary things to keep them warm.

One building that we visit regularly houses around 20 children and one of the mothers told us that they had snow above her knees. We were able to give every child a nice woolly hat made by refugee women at the project.

One time we distributed toys to a Syrian family. We gave a toy to one of the mothers. She was so happy and held it up for her children to see.

One Syrian boy we gave a bobble hat to wouldn’t take it off, inside or outside, because he liked it so much.

Every time we give the children toys they love them. Their faces light up with happiness and they give the toy a big hug.

When you buy an item(s) above, you’ll be supporting a refugee woman in Turkey who will crochet the product by hand. She is the first person who will smile because of your gift. Then, we’ll give that item to a refugee child for them to enjoy. It's a gift that gives twice!
